The current urgent works and plans

Join us in creating the Dzogchen Center for spiritual practice in Poland.

We, at Yeshe Khorlo, are building a haven dedicated to the practice of Dzogchen in the quaint town of Jarków. Currently, we are focusing on the renovation of the old house – our goal is to provide a platform for individual and group practices, a home for our builders, and the seat of the Yeshe Khorlo association in Poland. Help us make this vision a reality by contributing to our cause.

On this page we present the current urgent work and plans. To get to the archive of works, please visit the gallery…

May 2023

Work on the roof is already on the final straight!

We are already very close to the goal, but not yet in place – we still need $8,500 USD to protect the building against rain.

Initial state

Target state

We are more than halfway to our goal, but we still $8,500 USD to urgently secure our Dharma House from the elements by installing a proper roof.
Every little bit helps and is appreciated.
Imagine an expansive gompa (100m2), a meditation hall, large enough for 50-60 people on the first floor. This would pave the way for us to organize international events for Yeshe Khorlo students from around the world.
The cost of living and expenses are significantly smaller in this part of the world, compared to western Europe.

Estimated costs for this phase of our project include:

  1. Mansory works and materials:  $2400 USD
  2. Transportation of wood  $1200 USD
  3. Roof installation $9600 USD
  4. Earthworks with an excavator $900 USD
  5. 8 windows $2200 USD
  6. Tar paper and other building materials $1,200 USD

The total cost for this phase is $17,500 USD.

UPDATE  – We are doing the following works in July 2023 now:

      • cleaning works around the building along with levelling of site (nearly one meter layers of soil were collected and two-sided access to the building was formed),
      • transport and storage of wooden elements for roof construction,
      • formworks for ring beams and assembly of beams for roof’s structure.

Below the photos documenting the works in specific order. Please continue your kind support!

UPDATE  – August 2023

UPDATE  – Meeting with Rinpoche in Germany. August 2023

HH Gangteng Rinpoche visited Munich, Germany, in August 11-15, where he gave initiation and explanations to Shitro practice and led a group practice called Drubchö. During the course, there was a time with Rinpoche to discuss the plans and current development of the building the center in Jarków. Rinpoche gave valuable comments and support for the project.

The project was welcomed in Germany with enthusiasm. Friends from Germany and other countries offered donations, words of support and expressed their willingness to come and practice together in Jarków. Rinpoche emphasized there how important the project of the building the center in Jarków is for Yeshe Khorlo.

UPDATE – The first retreat at the Center. October 2023

The first retreat in the center in Jarków was led by Eva and Helmut. It was intended to remove obstacles and accumulate merit for building the center.

The place of Yeshe Khorlo in Poland is becoming our common reality. We are planning further works in Jarków to enable the arrival and retreat of more people. We will strive to prepare this place with practice and our work. We invite people who want to support to contact us!
